WOTCLEF.ORG: Proposed Rehabilitation Center

In order to rescue, rehabilitate and reintegrate victims of trafficking and child labour into their communities, we understand the importance of networking and collaborating with concerned parties worldwide to implement practical solutions. The proposed Rehabilitation site will house over 1,000 women and children.

The purpose of the center is to:

To rehabilitate, re-orientate and equip victims of trafficking and child labour migration.

To establish the WOTCLEF Rehabilitation and special purpose centre in Abuja, Nigeria with affiliates Africa and Worldwide.

To network and collaborate with concerned parties and crusaders worldwide on concerted, pragmatic action for the eradication of all forms of trafficking and child labour.

To place the African dimension on the global agenda, for special attention and action.

To generate, organize and disseminate critical data and up to date information on the crusade.

To produce and publish multi-media materials for local, regional and global crusaders.

To mobilize and engage multi-sector and collaborative resource providers for the sustainable prosecution of the crusade.

To work with relevant partners and concerned parties for the enactment and enforcement of appropriate legislation, conventions and treaties at local, regional and global levels.

After the initial construction of WOTCLEF, the center will be supported by funds provided by public spirited individual, concerned Citizens, corporate organizations, banks and financial Institutions, friends of WOTCLEF and international donors. The ability to partner collaboratively with WOTCLEF, USA will provide additional resources and funding opportunities.

The WOTCLEF, USA, INC. is a non profit organization, based in the United States but promotes it's programs globally both in the United States and in Nigeria. Administered by a small professional staff and dedicated board members, WOTCLEF, USA, INC. is committed to applying 85% of its funding directly towards programs and services that serve the victims of trafficking and child labor.

With the opening of this center, we members of the international community have collectively taken a step forward towards addressing a critical need in Nigeria by providing protection for victims - an important component in their fight against human exploitation.

We must not, however, stop with this achievement alone. The United States Government has been and will continue to be a committed partner in combating this terrible enterprise.

Creation of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), and...
